Hi and welcome! My name is Oguz, and this is Alyona.
We’re two young adults in our late twenties who have 20 years of combined experience in turning side hustles from ground-zero operations to multi-million dollar businesses.
I dropped out of university (engineering) four years ago to pursue my first (venture-capital backed) startup, Limk. Alyona earned her Master’s degree in finance around the same time and later worked at various startup incubators. Together, we’re the Side Hustle team!
Enter the Side Hustle is a resource, run by us, whose sole objective to help you use proven online strategies to earn money on the side and grow a passive income stream outside of your day job.
Since this happened to us in exactly the same way – not only once, but twice – we made it our mission to assist bloggers and online entrepreneurs to make their side projects insanely profitable.
If any of the following sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place!
- You want you and your business to have a bigger impact
- You’re ready to take your side hustle to the next level
- You feel isolated and stuck in your life
- You feel creatively blocked, underpaid and underutilized in your day job
- You would appreciate having multiple passive side-income streams so you can spend more time with your family
- You’d like to be financially independent at an early age
- You want to work for yourself only and create something that matters to you and the world
- You’ve heard about all that stuff, but you just don’t know how to make it a reality.
How do we know about this stuff?
When I launched our first side project back in early 2005, I had nothing but a desktop computer and a fistful of borrowed dollars from my parents. Still, I was able to make hundreds of thousands in profit by building an online community focused on computer games.
I raised venture capital for Limk ($330k) in my early twenties and managed to create a profitable business by leveraging our receivables and other side projects to finance our growth. Working closely with bloggers and online soloprenenurs (due to our work in content advertising), we were able to see the (mostly financial) struggles they were going through themselves. We helped them optimize their online ventures and even increased revenues for a few of them.
After that, we decided to create a standalone resource to make a bigger impact for those in need of our assistance.
To put it plainly, I sincerely want to share all my proven online tricks to make you the captain of your own ship. I want to help you build your own profitable online businesses.
Why do we do what we do?
It’s no secret that the way people work is constantly evolving. The world has changed, and the age of traditional work is over. Today, working 9-to-5, living from paycheck-to-paycheck and dealing with office politics are not what most people yearn for.
Trading time for money does not scale, and in 9 cases out of 10 you can financially do better than expected by creating valuable online experiences and products that don’t require a real-time presence.
Not having to trade your time for money is attractive, because it frees you to spend more quality time with your family and on things you truly value, such as traveling. Even if you actually enjoy the daily grind of your profession, your income will significantly decrease in your retirement unless you have a reliable form of passive income.
How did this become our life? Why now?
One of our parents passed away in 2016 at a young age after a three-month battle with lung cancer. It hurt. It hurts to this day. I once read that such catastrophic events can lead to sudden changes in people’s habits and manners. Originally, Enter the Side Hustle was a deferred personal project I was thinking of launching in when we reached our early thirties. We didn’t want to wait any longer to start it, since you never know what tomorrow may bring. We also wanted to create something that matters to us and likeminded people.
We enjoy practicing and exploring things like financial independence, traveling, frugality, and side hustling – and we frequently find ourselves discussing these topics.
If you want to share your stories, and think we can help you, please don’t hesitate to write to us. We do our best to respond to all emails and inquiries.
Thank you for being here! We truly appreciate you. 🙂
